Barrel Fair Day with numerous barrel races, including the famous one between the two rival village pubs. Middleton village fete which is the main fundraiser of the year. Attractions include a fun dog show, stalls, games, BBQ and children's activities. The funds raised finance an annual Christmas Party for the senior citizens and other Community Council members, an annual Christmas outing for the children of the village and purchase items for use by the community at large. New Carers Supprt Group - Rural East Suffolk Carers Action Network (RESCAN) will be starting a drop-in coffee session in Saxmundham.for all Carers in the area - to meet and support one another with exchanges of experiences and solutions to various issues such as respite care, transport, education, training, benefits etc...This is an independent self-help group who will be inviting guest speakers according to the needs and wants of members.Membership is free to any Carer.
